Violinist Alican Süner is the top prize winner of the Max Rostal and Postacchini Competitions (2015) and recipient of the Italian Presidential Medal. Süner has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, Filarmonica Marchigiana, and I Virtuosi Italiani, performing at major European venues including the Philharmonie Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, and Konzerthaus Berlin. In Turkey, he has performed with all the country’s leading orchestras. A former member of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker, he has also served as concertmaster with leading orchestras in Switzerland, Germany, and Turkey. Currently, he is a first violinist with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich (where he also served as 2. concertmaster during the 2022/23 season) and serves as a member of the Artistic Advisory Committee of the Istanbul Music Festival.
